Sven A. Johnson, S.A. Johnson Decorative Art and Interiors

As a professional painter/artist, I have seen many changes in decorative styles and palettes through the years. While I keep current with changing trends, I enjoy working with designers and clients to achieve their specific vision while employing my experience to enhance and guide each process to its completion.

Through the years, I have displayed my art in locations in Raleigh,Durham, and Chicago, and had some small landscapes displayed in the New Orleans botanical gardens. Focusing more on abstract art but still enjoying representational art, I have continued canvas painting and drawing and have a studio on Hillsborough St. in Raleigh.

Traveling in Europe and North and South America has helped to develop my techniques and, in general, has continually broadened my horizons. From unique color combinations, to exquisite marbles, to open-air landscapes, to fresco-type aging and textures, I continue to employ what I observe at every opportunity.

What makes S A Johnson Decorative Art and Interiors thrive, however, is the work ethic and attention to detail that is displayed with the entire team. We never lose site of the importance of customer satisfaction and have remained a niche business in order to achieve a hands-on approach to every situation. Though the years, S.A. Johnson Decorative Art and Interiors has helped many designers and builders win gold, silver, and bronze awards in the Parade of Homes in Wake, Durham, and Orange counties. The backbone of the business, however, has always been working with homeowners and businesses and the satisfaction that is derived from completing a transformational job.
